Maya is a handmade product from Germany. This beautifully cuddly alpaca blend has been hand-wound into vibrant solo colours that are a perfect choice for the cooler months. The yarn soft to touch, not scratchy at all and and fluid to work with and you will craft lovely wearable items. Maya is perfect for wearable items such as ponchos, shawls, long socks as well as colourful blankets, options are as endless as your imagination. 

Please note: Maya is made up of INDIVIDUAL threads which are NOT plied to make one thread. A 4ply Maya will have 4 innavidual threads.

Maya yarn is perfect for creating a range of items. For wearable pieces like ponchos, shawls, and long socks, simply follow your usual knitting or crocheting patterns. When making blankets, you can use different stitch patterns for variety. Note that it’s a preorder item, taking 3 – 4 weeks to arrive (unless stated available now). Additional items can be bought and will be held until the preordered one comes. Maya has individual threads, not plied. To maintain its softness, hand wash it gently in cool water with a mild detergent. Lay it flat to dry away from direct sunlight.
