Melissa’s Organic California Golden Figs are grown in the great Golden State using natural methods, free of fungicides and pesticides. Golden Figs have pale yellow skin with buttery, caramel flavor notes. When dried, their sweetness is amplified, and their texture is chewy with a satisfying crunch from tender seeds at the center of the fruit.
Dried figs are a great grab-and-go snack. They have zero fat and are sodium-free. They are high in fiber with a good amount of manganese, magnesium, potassium, calcium and vitamins K and C.
Eat them out-of-hand or chop and add to baked goods, granola or salads. Dried figs can also be rehydrated in warm water and used in recipes that call for fresh figs—golden figs pair exceptionally well with soft cheese, fresh herbs and roasted root vegetables.
