*Packaging info: designed exclusively as a refill for our reusable 30g Biophotonic Glass jar. Once opened, gently place the foil bag into the jar or transfer the Matcha directly into it, and keep airtight at all times. As this refill bag does not re-seal, we don’t recommend it to first-time customers who don’t have an airtight and light-proof container.
HANAE is our signature Ceremonial Grade Uji Matcha produced using 100% Okumidori cultivar.
Suitable for everyday use, HANAE brews a rich and silky liquor with a good balance of sweetness/light astringency, subtle floral notes, light Umami and a pleasant silky mouthfeel.
A blend with enough delicacy to be whisked into Usucha (traditional Matcha Tea) while also being characterized by a rich body that allows it to be mixed into premium blended drinks, making a great choice for Cold Brew Matcha and high-grade Matcha latte.

Preparing this Matcha using our Chasen Bamboo Whisk would allow optimal aeration and mixing of the powder, creating a smoother and creamier brew.

Brewing Guides
Usu-Cha (traditional Matcha tea):
- Sift 2g of Matcha into a bowl
- Wet with 20ml of 80°C water and knead into a paste using a Bamboo Whisk
- Add more water (50ml) and briskly whisk back and forth until a fine layer of froth forms on the top.
- Drink immediately.
Coldbrew Iced Matcha:
- Sift 2g of Matcha into a shaker filled with 250ml of water
- Add sweetness (optional) and shake well.
- Place a few ice cubes into a glass and pour your Matcha over ice.
- Enjoy your Coldbrew Iced Matcha
Premium Matcha Latte:
- Sift 2-3g of Matcha into your mug (add sweetness if preferred)
- Add 20ml of 80°C water and knead with your Bamboo Whisk until smooth
- Steam your desired amount of milk (150-200ml) and pour it into the paste.
HANAE Ceremonial Matcha is a great choice for making Usucha (traditional Matcha tea) and Cold Brew Matcha. Here’s how to use it: For Usucha, sift 2g of Matcha into a bowl, wet with 20ml of 80°C water and knead into a paste with a Bamboo Whisk. Then add 50ml more water and whisk briskly until froth forms on top, and drink right away. For Coldbrew Iced Matcha, sift 2g into a shaker with 250ml of water, add sweetness if you like, shake well, pour over ice cubes in a glass, and enjoy. For Premium Matcha Latte, sift 2 – 3g into your mug (add sweetness if desired), add 20ml of 80°C water and knead until smooth with a Bamboo Whisk, then steam 150 – 200ml of milk and pour it into the paste. Storage: Seal the package right after use and store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, moisture, and strong odors. Note: This refill bag doesn’t reseal, so it’s not for first-time customers without an airtight and light-proof container.
