Chow chow, also known as Mirliton squash, common Indian names include Semma Vankaaya, Bengalure Vankaaya, Chow Chow, Cho-Cho, Semay Badanekayi. An edible squash from the gourd family. A favourite in Tamil nadu often added to Sambar, and made into vegetables and curries.
