Our Añejo is crafted in Tequila, Mexico with 100% blue agave that’s slow cooked in traditional brick ovens, open fermented, and double distilled in “alambique” stills made of stainless and copper.
The spirit is then rested in Cutwater whiskey barrels that we ship to Jalisco from our San Diego distillery. After aging for over a year, our Añejo emerges with a rich amber hue and complex notes of oak, caramel, and bourbon vanilla. It is then bottled in Jalisco, and its label features the hand-drawn skull of a Rayador (Black Skimmer sea bird). Inspired by classic Mexican folk imagery, the illustration also serves as a nod to the Cutwater name.
To enjoy Cutwater Anejo Tequila, you can simply pour it into a glass and savor it neat or on the rocks. It’s perfect for sipping during a relaxing evening or sharing with friends. Remember to drink responsibly. There are no specific maintenance requirements for this tequila as it’s meant to be consumed. Just keep it stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its quality.
